Gilbert T. Rowe Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke University, Stanley Hauerwas, recounts parts of his life in his most recent book, Hannah’s Child: A Theologian’s Memoir. Born the son of a bricklayer, Hauerwas walks us through his journey of Christian faith that ultimately led him to become a theologian after attending Southwestern University and Yale Divinity School. He shares how text and study has formed his faith and how, ultimately, Christian faith to him is “an ongoing investigation.”
